ANIMATION

I received professional training at the Luchino Visconti School of Cinema in Milan, where I developed my skills in 2D animation and created an 8-minute animated short film entirely through frame-by-frame animation, overseeing every stage of the production process.

Through animation, I bring ideas, emotions, and imagined worlds to life, transforming both my own visions and the stories others want to tell into moving images.

Alongside this, I create original animations for my Instagram profile, reaching millions of views and building a community interested in animation and visual storytelling.

SHOWREEL

POKEMON

A reinterpretation of the classic Pokémon battles in a Game Boy Color style, created to imagine a more dynamic, cinematic, and engaging combat experience while preserving the charm of the original aesthetic.

I handled the entire production pipeline, from storyboarding and 2D animation to editing and final sound design. The project highlights my approach to visual storytelling, action pacing, and the creation of expressive, impactful animation.

Originally created for my Instagram profile, this project showcases my skills as a Storyboard Artist, Illustrator, and 2D Animator.

Color + Shadow

This animation was designed as a three-state looping sequence, inspired by the animation systems commonly found in fighting games and RPGs. The goal was to create a character that evolves through different combat states rather than relying on a single idle loop, resulting in a more dynamic and believable performance.

Loop 1 – Idle
Poliwrath subtly shifts its weight while its fists sway rhythmically, conveying a sense of anticipation and readiness.

Transition
The character raises its guard as water begins to gather around its fists, creating a visual buildup that naturally bridges the first and final states.

Loop 2 – Combat Idle
With its guard fully raised, Poliwrath enters its combat stance, maintaining subtle movement in the fists to preserve a constant sense of energy and tension.

Luffy gear3

Vertical 2D animation (9:16) designed and optimized specifically for social media, generating over 3.5 million views on Instagram.

The project blends Luffy's Gear 3 with a dynamic motion graphics loading bar that mirrors the iconic UI style of Persona 5 Royal. The video's key feature is its gamification element: the audience is actively invited to interact by repeatedly tapping the screen to fill up the bar, inflating the character until the final explosion. A successful experiment in high audience retention and community engagement.

Pose Exploration

The sequence allowed me to experiment with highly exaggerated poses, taking advantage of Luffy's elastic body to create extreme shapes and dynamic expressions. Through squash and stretch, distorted proportions, and strong silhouettes, I aimed to emphasize the playful and unpredictable energy of the character.

UI Feedback Design

I focused on creating a responsive and expressive UI feedback system, making each interaction an integral part of the animation. The visual effects of the loading bar and tap interaction were designed to reflect Luffy's energetic and elastic nature, making the experience more dynamic and engaging.

For the interaction feedback, I created a visual effect inspired by Luffy's energy and dynamism. The yellow glow combined with lightning-like sparks emphasizes the tap moment on the screen, creating a visual connection between the user's action and the character's explosive power.

An interactive element inspired by Luffy's elastic movement style. Activated through a tap on the screen, the loading bar expands and reacts with fast, elastic, and dynamic movements, transforming a simple UI element into a playful extension of the character.

Brawl Stars

animation

2D Animated Reel (9:16) created for social media, featuring Spike from Brawl Stars in a fast-paced, comedic animation.

The sequence focuses on impact, exaggeration, and visual rhythm, with Spike being repeatedly crushed by a hammer until the final explosion. To reinforce the force of each hit, I designed a reactive background that deforms and responds to every impact, enhancing the overall sense of energy and dynamism.

The composition was created using parallax, allowing each hammer impact to make the entire environment react and shake, emphasizing the force of every hit and making the animation more dynamic and engaging.

Character Acting

A character acting study focused on proportions, expression, and movement physics. Secondary elements such as spikes and hair follow the principles of follow through and overlapping action, reacting with a delay compared to the main body movement for a more natural feel. The use of a smear frame on the arm enhances the speed and dynamism of the gesture.

Hammer Animation Process

The hammer was first constructed using circular geometry to achieve a consistent and accurate rotation. Once the rotational motion was completed, it was imported into Procreate Dreams, where I animated its movement through space, integrating it into the final sequence.

UI Feedback Design

The interface was designed to actively engage the user, inviting them to tap the on-screen button to simulate each hammer strike. The button, inspired by Brawl Stars' Super ability icon, provides immediate visual feedback, making the interaction an integral part of the animation and enhancing the viewer's engagem

Animation Carousel

2D animation created for Instagram using the carousel format as an interactive flipbook. By swiping through the slides, the viewer directly controls the sequence, becoming an active part of the animation process.

Final Compositing

Throughout the animation, I focused on maintaining character consistency, preserving accurate proportions, model accuracy, and detailed shading across each frame. Small VFX elements, such as impact frames and dynamic effects, were added to enhance the sense of movement, energy, and impact of the action.
